Get Inspired by German Family Businesses, 21–22 October 2026

The VŠE Centre for Family Business invites founders and next-generation members of family businesses to join its traditional international study trip and gain inspiration from family businesses abroad. This year, we will visit two interesting family-owned companies in Germany. The main aim of the trip is to gain new insights and inspiration, exchange experiences, and spend time together with the family business community.

Participants will be accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Prague University of Economics and Business, and Head of the VŠE Centre for Family Business, Prof. Ing. Jiří Hnilica, Ph.D., and the Academic Director of the VŠE Centre for Family Business, Ing. Martin Jurek, Ph.D.

Timeline

The trip will take place on 21–22 October 2026. On the first day, we will visit the Munich-based technology company Rohde & Schwarz, which manufactures products including airport security scanners, oscilloscopes, radio signal analyzers, mobile network testing systems, and technologies for secure communications and counter-drone protection. We will meet Christian Leicher, a third-generation member of one of the founding families.

On the second day, we will visit the family-owned company HORSCH, a manufacturer of innovative agricultural machinery. Here, too, we will meet members of the owning family directly – brothers Michael and Philipp Horsch.

Registration

Registration is open until 7 September. Full information about the trip, programme, visit times and registration is available on the event website here.
